Jr. Ranger Rodeo at Little River State Park

 Kids 8 - 15: Start or complete requirements to earn the official Vermont State Park Jr. Ranger badge.  Already have one? Advance to higher levels OR become a Jr. Park Naturalist. Nature Center, 1hr, basic Jr. Ranger materials available by request any time at office.

Sunset Aquadventure Paddle Tour at Little River State Park

Explore Waterbury Reservoir seeking wildlife, Green Mountain geological features and spectacular Vermont Views. See how the Civilian Conservation Corps built Waterbury Dam. Boat rentals FREE; space is  limited,Must Reserve In Advance if using park boats, get paddles/jackets from Park Office at 6:30pm.*Tour Starts Promptly at 7pm at the A-Side Swim Beach, 1.5-2hrs

Butterfly Bonanza at Little River State Park

 See what attracts pollinators to the park's gardens and find out how to promote a healthy ecosystem around your home. THURSDAYS: Nature Center; SATURDAYS: B-Side Beach (please allow an extra 20 minutes to get from the Park Office to the B-side Beach), 1hr, option for extension.

Here Be Dragonflies....at Little River State Park

 Can you catch up to 300+ million years of evolution? Check out some local "dragons & damsels;" bring insect nets if you've got them as we use iNaturalist to track which dragonfly& damselfly species are active throughout the park season. Location: B-Side Beach; 1hr. *Day use visitors should leave themselves 20 extra minutes between arriving at Park Office and making their way to the program venue.

Tour of Waterbury Dam at Little River State Park

How Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Civilian Conservation Corps "Tree Army” saved the Winooski Valley from flooded ruin, one rock at a time. Guided walk along Waterbury Reservoir with amazing views and accompanying hisorical photographic displays. Meets at Top of Dam; 1hr

Making Tracks, Seeing Skins 'n' Skulls at Little River State Park

Make & paint plaster animal tracks as you meet your furbearing friends of Little River via exhibits, puppetry & taxidermy. Nature Center, 1hr.
