Castleton, Ira, and Poultney; Rutland County 4,725 Acres

This Management Unit is comprised of the following units:

• Birdseye Wildlife Management Area
• Blueberry Hill Wildlife Management Area

Planning Overview:

The planning process for the Castleton Management Unit Long-Range Management Plan is underway. 

The long-range management plan for the Castleton Management Unit, including both Birdseye and Blueberry Hill WMA, is under revision. Natural resource inventories and assessments that serve as the basis for plan development are underway.

Castleton Management Unit is an assemblage of two separate state-owned parcels—Birdseye WMA and Blueberry Hill WMA.  These ownerships are located in the towns of Castleton, Ira and Poultney and total approximately 4,725 acres.
