Are the summit trails a good fit for your hiking party? Is Mount Ascutney a volcano? Which plants and animals are you likely to meet on the trails today? Stop by the interpretive table at the summit trailhead to find out more, or ask to have your photo taken from the parking area overlook. Table hours (weather permitting) 11:00am-5:00pm.
What would you experience at key moments in the past, present, and future of Mt. Ascutney? The mountain has its own long history of change, but its past, present, and future are tied to our own.

The Perseid meteor shower is expected to peak in the early hours of August 12th and 13th with us seeing a meteor burn into the atmosphere every minute! For a broad view of the rural night sky, join us on the rim of Button Bay's natural amphitheater as we spend an hour watching the shower. Cushions and light warm refreshments will be provided. This event will be cancelled if skies are expected to be cloudy--check with the Nature Center or the Contact Station the day before the event for confirmation.

Join our interpreter for a guided paddle around Adams Reservoir. Learn about the parks history and enjoy the beautiful evening scenery.
1 Hour - Meet at the tent in the day use beach.
Bring your own boat or rent one at the park office.

Enjoy some s'mores by the fire while participating in nature trivia. S'mores ingredients provided.
