Fifty Years of the Button Point Nature Center at Button Bay State Park
Please join us as we celebrate the Button Point Nature Center reaching its fiftieth year! There will be a ceremony at 2 p.m. to commemorate the history and future of nature education at Button Bay State Park, as well as a dinner and social at 6 p.m. Check back on this listing closer to the Jul 14, 2024 anniversary of the Nature Center's 1974 inauguration for additional details.

Guided Hike at Woodford State Park
Join our interpreter for a guided hike around the Atwood Loop while learning about Woodfords flora and fauna.

Foraging Walk at Woodford State Park
Join our interpreter for a walk around the park to see and taste some of nature's best snacks, as well as learn about traditionally medicinal plants. There will be a foraged treat to taste after the walk.
Please wear comfortable shoes for lots of walking.

Join Woodford's iNaturalist project to contribute to a collection of the parks biodiversity. Learn how to join and use the iNaturalist app. Talk to the interpreter behind the park office.
Mushroom Madness at Woodford State Park
Search for mushrooms throughout the Atwood loop with our interpreter and play some fungi bingo!
