Learn about the owls of Button Bay with an interactive presentation. Limited seating is available; feel free to bring a camp chair. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Weather permitting. All events meet at the activity area, directly behind the basketball hoop near the picnic shelter.
Come see how many cool plants and animals you can find during this nature scavenger hunt! After completion, you’ll receive a small prize! Meet at the day-use area near the snack bar.
Come roast a few s’mores and hear some live music/traditional stories while enjoying the warmth of an evening campfire. Located in the big field near the front entrance.
Come walk through the ruins of West Castleton, a once-thriving slate-mining village located amongst the trees. Please meet at the entrance, wear sneakers or hiking shoes, and bring water.
Come relax while making one of five origami designs including a sail boat, frog, fox, swan, and butterfly. Meet near the snack bar.
Come to the day-use area and play a few nature games with us! We’ll have some fun while learning about wildlife through games like “Sniff and Scout”, “Frogs, Insects, and Flowers”, and “Deer, Deer, Deer!”
