Learn to cast a spin-cast fishing rod and “catch” some of our plastic Backyard Bass® on the lawn. All participants can make their own fishing lure to take home. Find us by the Nature Center!

Today’s activity: Butterfly Life Cycle Craft

Come along for a 3 mile round trip hike to beautiful silver lake! We’ll talk about the history of the area along the way. Hike is moderately difficult with 700 ft of elevation gain. Meet at park entry station to join. Wear close-toed shoes and bug spray. Children under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Programs are free for campers and included in day-use admission to the park. 

Meet at the park entry station to see how many different macroinvertebrates we can find in a nearby brook! Not only are they interesting to look at, macroinvertebrates provide us with fascinating information about water quality. Collection nets will be provided. Be sure to wear clothes appropriate for wading. Ideal for ages 12+, all children under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
