Performers: Stephen Scuderi, Something Something Trumpet, Gzilith & Frogsynth

Stephen Scuderi has been playing singing bowls for over 10 years. Two years ago, he got a larger set and combined with gong he does Sound Baths periodically for various groups. In addition his main instrument, guitar has been put through effects to create lush soundscapes when combined with synths. While relatively new to the world of synthesis, he blends samples and various synths to create a tapestry of glitched and affected soundscapes.

something something trumpet is a collective dedicated to showcasing the trumpet as a solo and chamber instrument. Through their programming, the group aims to promote and develop contemporary repertoire while also presenting historical works in a way that contextualizes the instrument’s past and present.
something something trumpet was formed in 2023 at the Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar in Enfield, NH by Dovas Lietuvninkas, Demian Spindler, and Bailey Paugh. The three trumpeters felt that someone should be sharing all the cool, strange, wacky, and beautiful sounds the trumpet can make with the world and after some consideration, thought “Why notus?” Over the past year, the group has brought 20th and 21st century trumpet music to curious, enthusiastic, and occasionally horrified audiences in New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Gzilith is a singer-songwriter whose music is a tapestry woven from diverse influences. Rooted in the honky-tonk and folk rock of his upbringing, his sound has evolved to embrace elements of jazz, 90s alternative rock, electronic pop, and even Japanese classical composition. With a catalog of over a hundred original songs, Gzilith’s music delves deep into the complexities of the human experience, exploring themes of identity, relationships, and the search for meaning. His intimate performances, whether in small clubs or larger venues, offer audiences a glimpse into his introspective world. Gzilith’s ultimate aspiration is to share his music with the world and connect with listeners on a profound level.

Frogsynth is an electronic solo project by Lia Nemeth, a Brazilian-American composer, pianist and accordeonist, under which she explores influences from multiple styles of electronic music and jazz fusion. Her music is playful, creative and improvisational.
