Cavendish; Windsor County 64 Acres
General Description:
Located off Oscarson Road, Lord State Forest is a small parcel of gentle terrain and large white pine trees. Access and parking is limited. It is surrounded by several large private ownerships giving it an expansive feel that belies its size.
Unique Features:
Frequent thinnings of high quality pine stands have created a forest of large attractive pines.
Recreation Overview:
Primary uses are hunting (it supports a greater number of deer than expected) and walking. It is an excellent site for snowshoeing in winter though parking is difficult.
