Like many forests in the Upper Valley the Hartford Town Forest is facing a lack of Biodiversity. Many areas of this forest are being impacted by over browsing which has led to regeneration issues. During the winter of 22-23’ a forest management operation was completed aimed at increasing biodiversity throughout the area managed. One of the many goals of the project.
Join the Hartford Conservation Commission and AJ Follensbee the Northern Windsor County Forester for a tour of the area treated. We will discuss active measures landowners can take to increase biodiversity in their forest.
The walk will start at 6pm. We will meet at the Parking Area at the end of Reservoir Road in Hartford. Google Maps Link to Parking Area. We will cover around 1.5 miles on relatively gentle terrain. Please register for this event here.
