Xray Lite Concert at Molly Stark State Park

With a high-energy roots, rock n' blues sound, Someone You Can Xray is as much at home in an acoustic listening room as on a festival stage, engaging listeners to sing and dance along! Members of Someone You Can Xray perform as an acoustic folk rock and roots band, billed as Xray Lite, most often seen performing as a duo, with Bryan and Dana Newman entertaining crowds of all ages. Check them out on Spotify and everywhere on the web!

Concert free with park entry.

Verandah Porche: Words in the Woods

Our seasonal “Words in the Woods” program allows Vermonters and visitors to enjoy our state’s natural beauty while listening to and reading literature in the outdoors.

This year, we look forward to joining five Vermont poets in-person at different Vermont State Parks. Join us in celebrating our 50th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of Vermont State Parks by registering for a program today!

Thank you for the support of the Vermont Humanities and the Vermont Arts Council.

Join us for a morning of poetry with Verandah Porche. Vermont Humanities will cover the entry fee for the park, so feel free to explore the wilderness after the event.

Verandah Porche works as a poet-in-residence, performer, and writing partner. Based in rural Vermont on the notable commune Total Loss Farm, since 1968, she has published Sudden Eden (Verdant Books), The Body’s Symmetry (Harper and Row) and Glancing Off (See Through Books). She has read her work on NPR stations, in the Vermont State House, and at the John Simon Guggenheim Museum. Verandah creates poems for moments and milestones. Commissions include the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Windham and Windsor Housing Trust, and many poems for personal Celebrations. See additional poems on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/verandah.porche.
