Vermont State Parks Announces the 2025 Best In Snow Photo Contest!
We're excited to invite you to participate in the 2025 Best In Snow - Vermont State Parks Photo Contest. Did you know our parks are open all year round? Enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, fat biking, snowmobiling, and more throughout the winter. Now, we want to see your best winter shots taken in Vermont State Parks!
Contest Categories:
- Scenic Landscapes: Capture the breathtaking beauty of the parks.
- Action Shots: Showcase people enjoying winter activities in the parks.
Prizes:
- First Place: $50 Vermont State Parks gift card.
- Second Place: 10-punch pass card ($30 value).
Submission Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to everyone, including amateur and professional photographers, and Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation staff and volunteers. Photos should be set in a Vermont State Park or State Forest.
- Consent: Minors under 18 need permission and co-submission by a parent or guardian.
- Originality: Photos must be original and solely created by you. Ensure contact details are correct to avoid disqualification.
- Adherence to Rules: Photos must comply with state park policies.
- Deadline: Submit photos by 11:45 PM on March 4, 2025.
- Voting Period: March 7, 12:00 PM to March 16, 11:45PM, 2025. Winners will be announced shortly after.
Photo Submission Rules:
- Each entrant can submit up to 3 photos.
- Photos should be a minimum of 2000px on the longest side, no larger than 10MB, and ideally 300 dpi.
- Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG.
By submitting, you confirm that the individuals depicted have consented to being photographed and to the use of their image in this contest. You also grant Vermont State Parks and the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources permission to use your photos for educational, informational, and promotional purposes, with appropriate credit.

Judging:
- Finalists will be posted on SurveyMonkey for public voting.
- Vermont State Parks reserves the right to modify, cancel, or suspend the contest if needed.
