Move Forward Together Vermont
Weigh in on Vermont’s Outdoor Recreation Vision and Priority Actions
Montpelier, VT - The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR) and the Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economic Collaborative (VOREC) have released the Move Forward Together Vermont Draft Vision and Priority Actions for public review and input. This ambitious document outlines a vision and set of priority actions to foster healthy and vibrant communities through outdoor recreation in the next five years.
The draft vision and priorities were shaped by a robust public engagement process. This included a statewide survey of recreation users, 28 focus groups with outdoor recreation stakeholders, a survey of Vermont recreation providers, and a day-long summit with outdoor recreation leaders. Now, Move Forward Vermont wants to hear from you.
Community engagement sessions will be happening online and in-person throughout July. Join FPR and VOREC at one of the following public events to share your thoughts and help shape the future of outdoor recreation in Vermont.
- Tuesday, July 2: 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Public Engagement Launch Webinar (will be recorded and posted online)
- Monday, July 15: 5:30-7:00 pm, Southern Vermont Open House, Manchester Community Library (138 Cemetery Ave, Manchester Center, VT)
