Please register ahead of time with the interpreter to determine location. Come on a guided hike of your choosing and ask about history, nature, and how to be good stewards.
Make plaster-of-Paris animal tracks to paint and take home! While they dry, explore our collection of skulls and furs. At the Nature Center
Come to the Amphitheater at Brighton State Park and listen to some Campfire Stories with Kurt and Victoria!
Families come meet Biologist Annebelle Langlois at Brighton State Park Nature Center! There will be a talk on Foraging Basics, Biodiversity, and Ecology of Fungi, or as we call them Mushrooms! Then we will walk the loop of the Boreal Forest splitting into groups and forage for mushrooms! This will be from 3-5 pm! Limit 12 people!
Parents come walk the Boreal Forest Trail with your children 14 and under! This will take place at 4:30-6:00 They'll be able to pick Fungi with Biologist, Annebelle Langlois! You'll learn the very basics about Mushrooms and then come back to the Nature Center to make Spore Prints! The next morning between 7:00 - 8:00 come and see the Spore Print Design! Maybe even laminate them!
Come learn all about monarchs and participate in some butterfly activities! Stop by anytime between 11am - 1pm.
