Enjoy an easy to moderate guided hike along a wonderful Green Mountain ridgeline. Views to the west and east, with a picture perfect one of Silver Lake and Mt Moosalamoo. Start off on the Minnie Baker Trail, along Chandler Ridge, and then down on the Silver Lake Trail. Hike is six miles total and about 4 hours in length. Blaze orange clothing items are encouraged for hunting season safety. Beavers are the great architects of North America. Join for a book-reading about their astounding abilities, and come along for a short hike to a Beaver Dam afterwards! Hike takes an average of 45 minutes to complete, is steep at times and includes rocky terrain. Intended for kids age 5-10, although all ages are welcome. Meet at the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center. Macroinvertebrates provide us with fascinating clues about stream health! Come along for a 1.5 mile hike to see how many different stream macroinvertebrates we can find, and view a beautiful waterfall! Hike is moderate and includes some light scrambling and wading! Want to make your hike more interactive? Try taking one of our scavenger hunt kits with you! We have kits for all ages and knowledge levels! - But our interpreter will give you hints if you get stuck :)
