Phragmites Treatment at Alburgh Dunes State Park
In May, The Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the treatment of phragmites at Alburg Dunes State Park. Inventory work to identify areas of phragmites infestations was completed in March 2017 by Land Stewardship, Inc. The contract work will consist of creating a treatment plan and implementing said plan with the goal of eradicating phragmites in the park. The contract was awarded to Long View Forest, LLC. Treatment will occur after Labor Day. This website will be updated when the contractor has identified dates for treatment.
