General Description:

Missing Link Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is located along the Connecticut River and is bisected by Route 5. The parcel is a mix of forest and fields and was purchased by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department to buffer and protect potential bald eagle habitat. A small parcel was donated more recently by the Estate of Alice Hadley to link the WMA with the Herrick’s Cove recreation area and conservation land of the Trans-Canada Corporation. The road frontage is steep but leads to a gentle plateau bordering Interstate 91.

Recreation Overview:

Hunting is the primary recreation though given the setting, rifles must be used carefully. The primary purpose of the WMA is conserving land for potential eagle habitat. The WMA has exceedingly high tick populations.
