The Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation will be holding an informational meeting to present the latest plan for the South End Area of Willoughby State Forest. In an effort to raise awareness of some of the environmental and safety issues, and to identify some of the features of the South End plan on site, we will be hosting a site visit prior to our formal informational meeting. FPR will have identified the locations of the parking, building foot prints, and some of the new trail work so people can see the scope of the project in relation to the current facility location.
Following the site visit we will be hosting an informational meeting at the Westmore Fellowship Hall. This meeting will begin promptly at 5:30.
This meeting will include:
- Summary of public comments received on the original South End plan.
- Overview of modifications made to proposal
- Operational Plan
- Next steps for moving forward.
