10 am Roving Interpreter: Animal Defenses
Quills, armor, camouflage, and more. Jen, the park nature interpreter, will be wandering around the park this morning. Look for her to learn about some of the fascinating ways wild animals defend themselves from predators.
There will be interesting things to touch too.
1 pm What’s in the Water?
Fresh water and wetland habitats are teeming with life. Drop by to explore why clean water is so important, and what wild park animals rely on it.
All ages/Day Use area beach or white nature cent in loop A if raining.
3 pm Storytime
Take a break and gather round for the Native American story, “Turtle Races With Beaver”.
Younger park visitors/families. Look for the blue tarp under a shade tree at the day use area beach, or we’ll meet at the white nature tent in loop 1 if it’s raining.
