Mud season has arrived in Vermont. It’s a great time to get outside, but please keep in mind that many trails are not suitable for hiking during this time of year. Some higher elevation trails are still wet and muddy and when hikers walk on saturated soils, it can result in damage to the trail and surrounding vegetation. Hikes in hardwood forests at lower elevations are recommended.
The Venture Vermont Outdoor Challenge is open from April 15 - October 15, 2014 !
