Windsor — A proposed new management plan for Mt. Ascutney State Park and other state-managed lands in southern Windsor County that addresses everything from rattlesnakes to new biking trails is available for public comment.
The draft 20-year management plan for the 3,100-acre state park and other managed land would make a number of changes, including adding mountain bike trails at Mt. Ascutney, expanding a parking lot there, protecting Cascade Falls as a natural area, increasing management of invasive species, and searching for endangered rattlesnakes and peregrine falcons.
